Greetings from IIGF. INDIA International Guitar Festival 2019.

We are going to present the fourth edition of India International Guitar Festival: Vasundhara Mahotsav -in memory of Guitar legend late PT. Brij Bhushan Kabra -  a classical music and Guitar music carnival with guitar-stalwarts and talents from across the country on two winter days: 12 to 13 January 2019. 

In between the time frame of 11am to 9pm every day the festival will bring the Indian guitar enthusiasts & music lovers together under the spell of some of the most blessed performing guitarists coming from various schools of classical guitars in India & the world. Efforts are made to bring along with large number of art inclined Kolkatans, musicians and music lovers a lot more than what First Festival delivered to their acclaim.

The festival will present young talents of slide guitar under the kind mentorship of Guitar Guru Three times Grammy Nominee Pt. Debashish Bhattacharya. stage performance will engage them in diverse interactive and knowledge sharing programmes. Providing scholarship, cash, awards, stage, guitars and musical accessories to the deserving musicians in need of support is also included in the Mahotsav.

Programme Highlight: 

Slide guitar workshop by Pandit Debashish Bhattacharya Indian Classical Guitar (Modern Song on slide guitar and How to create your own music on slide guitars).

Guitar competitions and talent hunt (Scholarship program certification and award). 

INDIA National Slide Guitar Symphony (Composed and directed by Pandit Debashish Bhattacharya).

Concerts of Hawaiian guitarists Tagore Songs Nazrul Geeti and Bengali Modern songs (Presented by Pandit Debashish Bhattacharya). 

Indian Classical Guitar concerts by young talents (presented by Pandit Debashish Bhattacharya).

Final concert by Pandit Debashish Bhattacharya and Pandit Bickram Ghosh.

India International Guitar Festival 2019, in collaboration with ICCR, from 12th to 13th January 2019 ( From 11 AM to 9 PM ).
